I think this event is pretty important, and we could be working with the communities and spread the word about this relevant event. I think also marketing should put some money to fund the development. Some ideas are: - Showcase the benefits of OpenDocuments - Show the tools that use ODF - Push documentation to the forefront about ODF such as adoption, implementation - Push technical documentation - Projects like www-at-odf and ODFDOM, XSLT-Tools I think this is a relevant event to put our support behind and also OOo does need a more responsive website. -- Alexandro Colorado OpenOffice.org Español IM: jza@jabber.org -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Message-ID: <20100320090208.GB13431@nexaima.net> Six months ago I got a request to check what Microsoft said in a report about Italian public administrations rejecting ODF as mandatory format, so I tried to contact MS Italy to know more. Since I'm still waiting for them, I've decided to go public: http://stop.zona-m.net/node/126 thanks for spreading the link around. Any relevant info is obviously welcome as are, in any moment, tips and pointers to write more articles on the same subjects. Marco -- Taxing every citizen for Microsoft Windows problems? If you want to put a banner or something about Document Freedom Day on the front page of the website, please do so. And if you have any other ideas, please suggest them. But don't wait for me or anyone else to do anything, or it probably won't happen in time. --Jean From jza at openoffice.org Mon Mar 22 20:49:55 2010 From: jza at openoffice.org (Alexandro Colorado) Date: Mon Mar 22 20:56:11 2010 Subject: [odf-discuss] DFD participation In-Reply-To: <4BA80A90.50807@gmail.com> Message-ID: Since I dont have access to the site, I am not sure I can put a banner on the site. However there are banners already available to 'hang' here: http://www.documentfreedom.org/Artwork2010 The admin of the DFD site would be the one to be able to hang this 'boxes' into the template of the site. The banner is a good idea and can be up until the event and then a day or two after. Should we make some kind of press release? Basically Unless we have something revelant to say on things we have been working out recently to push DFD. We should just express our support for the event, the organizers and the organizations that are behind it (FSF-Europe, ViaLibre). Maybe a third line about call for action. http://www.documentfreedom.org/About > > Regards, > /Lars > _______________________________________________ > odf-discuss mailing list > odf-discuss@opendocumentfellowship.com > http://lists.opendocumentfellowship.com/mailman/listinfo/odf-discuss > > -- Alexandro Colorado OpenOffice.org Español "Support this 31st March - Document Freedom Day " http://www.documentfreedom.org -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
