[odf-discuss] Abiword gets requests for OOXML, not ODF

Hi,

The AbiWord users feel fine with the AbiWord file format, which although
not a standard, fits the application well and is (at least) fully
documented in the source code, which is Free Software, licensed under
the GNU GPL.

As such, AbiWord users feel a greater need to be able to import MS Word
document formats than ODF document formats.

One of the main reasons is that many (if not most) AbiWord users, when
receiving an ODT file, can just as well launch OO.o or rely on the odf
impexp plugin.

You'll be very wellcome if critics are accompanied of source code
patches, but be prepared for harsh replies if you only criticise.

Best,
Rui
