Thats why it so important to explain people that when using open source
software its not about the money but about the open standards that are
used. Sadly a lot of open source developers do not see it like this,
they use there own standards, instead of the use of existing open
standards. The standardization is more important than the free in money
way software. The philosophy is to bind both open-standards and floss
software.

The support of *.doc files in open office is also something that is very
confusing. There are to much people saying that openoffice just supports
*.doc no problem when switching to openoffice...why you need *.odf when
*.doc also works with open office. It is extremely hard to convince
those people, because they don't feel the pain... and in there eyes
people that want opendocument are just a bunch of freetarts.
