I will add my 'me, too' here. But I would propose a further refinement.
The question, if taken exactly as worded, was already answered by MS
engineers back in the beginning of the Massachusetts activity. The
answer was, it can already. The capability is apparently already there.
Also, a few years ago, MS marketeers were blowing a lot of smoke about
arbitrary user-supplied XML schemas. If that is not false advertising,
then MSO users should be able to just load in the ODF DTD or schema.
Perhaps what puts the MS movement more on the spot would be to ask when
*will* MS Office support ODF?
That question to be followed by, when will MS Office support conform
fully to ODF exactly as defined by the standard?
