[odf-discuss] [OT] OOXML i18n and any precedence for rejecting a
standard as a constructive measure

Two questions
1. Are there any i18n problems that remain after the Jan 14 comments?
Just one or two known examples would be good.
2. Is there any historical precedence for a standard to be rejected only
to be later resubmitted as a better standard with significant fixes? Eg,
we keep hearing that it's better for OOXML to be an ISO standard than
not, which may be a compelling story to some. A good counter story would
be one that said we can reject OOXML and that this is constructive in
order to encourage them to come back with something a lot better (Eg.
Ecma/MS should work with OASIS to add the necessary functionality to ODF).
Thanks,
