ODT and DOCX support in WordPerfect X4 is import-only. I've installed the
trial version (time-limited rather than feature-limited) and have gone back
and double-checked that all conversion filters were installed. I am also a
WordPerfect expert; the support for those formats is one-way only.

Looks like Corel is giving both ODT and DOCX the same treatment Sun is
giving DOCX in OOo, import-only. Of course we might later see an ability to
write to those formats in an update.

In the installer's "read this while we install the software" screens the ODF
support is identified as support for the OpenOffice.org file formats. But in
the file open dialog, the list of available filters identifies the support
as being for OpenDocument text -- ODT. It would probably be more accurate to
identify it as support for OpenOffice.org -- ODT in the file open dialog as
well, given that in reality the OpenDocument text -- ODT label does not
identify a defined file format. E.g., an ODT containing only DOCX elements
and attributes is  conformant and valid ODT so long as a unique namespace
for the elements and attributes is used.

I have not yet launched the other major apps in WP Office X4 to check the
status of ODF and OOXML support.
