[odf-discuss] Nibbling at the Edges

Whenever I produce a template - for envelopes, memos, etc., I always include
a filename field in the footer or somewhere else suitable. Get people used
to seeing .odt around. In fact, showing off .odt might be quite useful, as
it is difficult to confuse with .docx. Just about every other term relating
to file formats and their applications has been (deliberately) made as
confusingly similar as possible. This is why I include the file extensions
in the email sig.

One I haven't cracked yet is the header page on Xerox document centres.
When an MS box prints to the Xerox boxes here the header has the user name,
then the application name followed by the time and date, giving MS a free
advertisement. When I print from OOo on Kubuntu box, I get Remote User, Job
No123456 followed by time and date. I've no idea whether this should be
fixed in the application, print spooler or elsewhere.

Any ideas?
