Probably best to work through Digg, Slashdot and others. Maybe the ODF
Alliance can be useful.
The petition can be made more effective if we could find out what the
status is within Apple and what the apparent obstacles are. I can't say
that I myself see any strong hold MS would have over Apple using MSO, so
there must be some other hold or influence.

We did a rather successul petition to MS earlier:

However, in general MS is rather a waste of time, since no outside
factors are going to be able to influence their agenda regardless. Best
to find a way to outmaneuver them and prevent their standard shenanigans.
