Hey, Pam, why are you picking on Jody and Gnome but giving Novell and Sun a
pass? Novell is participating in Ecma too, and both Novell and Sun are
implementing OOXML. In fact, both of them have opened offices on Microsoft's
campus to work on interop issues. Matter of fact, why aren't you also
picking on Apple, Barclays Capital, BP, The British Library, Essilor, Intel,
NextPage, Statoil, Toshiba, and the United States Library of Congress?
They're all on Ecma TC 45. And the reps. of two U.S. government agencies
voted for DIS 29500 at INCITS.
What makes Gnome and Jody so special that they're the only ones you want to
beat up on?
Best regards,
Paul
