Its very unlikely in any broad church that policy reflects the views of
the entire membership on any issue. However, the leaders do have to
project the core values on which the organisation is based and accept
accountability for how that projection is received by its stakeholders.
In the end, what matters in marketing is perception not logic or fact.
Microsoft understand this rather better than most hackers so I urge you
to choose the words carefully ;-)
