I agree with Jeff here. I know that in-fighting is a popular sport in the FOSS world, but fighting our own is not exactly a good strategy. I have the highest respect for Gnome (and btw, I love the desktop) let's not descend into a flame war.

Jeff: Do you think Jody might be interested in doing similarly great work in ODF 1.2 like Rob suggested? ODF 1.2 is under development, so it's a great place to put Jody's fine hacker skills. It's a productive endeavor, non-political, etc. Could you relay this idea to Jody or other Gnome developers who might be interested (Gnumeric maling list maybe?).
