Jeff,
yes, you have indeed rephrased the statement above in many ways, but I
still fail to see how this is a good thing. No matter how you word it,
I still read:
"Jody's participation is principally about to make OOXML easier to
tolerate and generate/distribute OOXML even by Free Software users"
or, in other words, "heck, no, we are not contributing to OOXML
development. We are just contributing to its widespread adoption and
long term tolerability and survival".
Frankly, I fail to see the practical difference, or what is worse
between the two things.
Making easier to _create_ files in proprietary formats now that
finally private citizens and businesses had an excellent argument NOT
to do it (ODF is _ISO_!!!, something that would hold even in court!)
when dealing with Public Administration is not a good thing.
