Yep, and Pamela is keeping them honest.  She was slashdotted again today.

I don't agree with everything that she says there, but I do think that it is
important that she is keeping this issue in front of the community.  I tend
to be pro-Novell, because I use openSUSE, and because they have given a lot
to the FOSS community IMHO (Ximian, opening SUSE, Linux drivers, killing
SCO).  But Pamela raises some good points about Novell making money by
implicitly backing the patent FUD (use our Linux and OOo and you will be
safe).  I do agree with Pamela that marketing ploy is skanky.

So I guess that all we can do is to continue to criticize Novell for the
negative things that they are doing, and support them for the positive
contributions that they are making to advancing Linux market share.  It's
not nice to have friends who do skanky things, but such is life.  We just
need to continue to hound them, as Pamela is doing.  And if you look at the
comments on Slashdot, you will see that her message is being heard and
supported by most of the /. readers.
