[odf-discuss] Apology and proposal for moving forward from the personal attack issue

I think the suggestion that moderation not be imposed is a good one.  It 
just takes a lot of time better applied elsewhere.

However, I would suggest a bit of etiquette.  Never refer to anyone else 
by name.  Never.  And do not use pronouns instead either.  Unless you 
want to complement them.

Whenever you refer to the other person the chances are very high that 
the topic of discussion is being ignored.  Or, there is no valid topic 
of discussion. If you remove the name of someone else, that omission of 
the valid discussion becomes more obvious.

If you have to moderate, the use of a name should justify not accepting 
the post.  People will learn.  But, the lack of referring to someone 
else is at least one simple objective standard that can help.
