[odf-discuss] Little discussion left to be had

Hi all,

I think the quality of discourse has been pretty thoroughly extinguished at
this point, so I have little left to contribute. Sadly, this has had an
adverse impact on my motivation for participating in ODF/OOXML action here
at home, too, where we need to get Standards Australia to turn its ABSTAIN
into a NO. I imagine my sunnier compatriots here and in New Zealand can
reverse this disappointment.

I'd recommend that everyone participating here have a good hard think about
what it is you're trying to achieve, and whether daemonising fellow members
of the community is a productive way to go about it. There are many things
we disagree about in our collective interest in Software Freedom, but there
are vastly more things we agree about. Ultimately, this issue is but a minor
stepping stone in a much larger story.

Stay cool, and remember to keep freedom fun. It would be terrible for the
cost of freedom to be our friends and sense of fun.

Thanks,

- Jeff
