Sorry, but with OOo no. OOo has decided already not to support OOXML in
exporting, for example. They argue (correctly) that this would only help to
Microsoft, not to the free community and the ODF adoption. And they are not
using that extremelly poor xslt conversor early and quickly developed by
Novell.
Also KOffice has decided that to support import/export of OOXML is not a
priority for them now.
Only the OOo fork of Novell is making using that poor conversor (and indeed
publicising that they support OOXML, but this is part of their patent and
call-it-interoperability agreement with Microsoft).
Indeed the ISO marketing of Microsoft is saying always "OpenOffice.org -
Novell Edition", never "OpenOffice.org" alone.
The attached documents, delivered by Microsoft at many ISO member commitees,
show how concerned and interested is Microsoft in to demonstrate to ISO
members that OOXML is backed and supported by competition and that it can be
perfectly implemented by them (what is false, btw). For example, that list
has been delivered in every national standardization body as one of the main
arguments against what is the truth: only MS-Office for Windows implements
OOXML (and not fully as Stephane Rodriguez has demonstrated).
Please, have a look to the use that Microsoft is doing of your Gnumeric
project because you are publicly implementing its format *NOW* and
additionally complaining "how difficult ODF is to implement for you".
They are doing surelly the same with Gnome just because it is now officially
represented at ECMA TC. We will see this soon if they are not suddenly
stopped with a good Gnome official statement (hopefully).
I just ask for you: Please, try not to give more weapons to our common
enemy... Hard enough is to stop them without your weapons...
Saludos,
