That is a good point. Ok, it might take a little longer but let's face
it, the need for interoperability with OOXML right at this moment is not
at all high. I can't see many people not using Gnumeric because it
doesn't interoperate with OOXML. I can see a lot of people (me for one)
not using gnumeric if it doesn't support odf. Most of the schools I work
with inclined to change to free software find Open Office.org calc
perfectly OK and its Excel filters are good enough for their needs and
almost no-one is yet using Office 2007 in this market and it can export
to .xls anyway.
