Hi Alberto,

I am so glad to see someone from Extremadura Spain on this list!
Extremadura is sooooo very advanced in the use of open standards and
Software Libre. If anyone is feeling glum about the future of Software
Libre, I would heartily recommend a visit to Extremadura Spain. We filmed
even a _bakery_ the City of Badajoz using Software Libre, and the hospitals
in Badajoz use GNU/LinEx ! Microsoft and closed formats are really on the
way out there.

If you want to see footage from Extremadura, go here to our keyword search
index page:

I particularly recommend the clip of the town square in Merida, which is the
political capital of Extremadura. The town square in Merida is absolutely
one of the best places in the world to decompress and enjoy a sunny
afternoon in spring. Right near the town square is an ancient roman bridge
over the Rio Guadiana. Extremadura would almost always be my first choice
of a destination for a really great vacation. You can see life in the town
square here:

So it is really wonderful that it was Alberto who sent in these stories!
