[odf-discuss] Rick Jelliffe FUD?

"Standards activist" -- what does that mean?  I can see "active with 
standards",  but that does not equate to "standards activist".  Is there 
anything that substantiates activist claim?

Read the last paragraph of his bio here: 
http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/au/1712    It sounds very much like 
Microsoft is paying for his attendance at such events.   It is poor 
journalistic practice to not disclose something like this in an article. 

So rather than seek a second opinion, they have portrayed this as an 
independent opinion from a "standards activist".
