The mountains of FUD and plain old disinformation spread in the media
can be countered with emphasis on ODF's use in many products as well as
the general industry support it enjoys -- not just one company.

Just to make the first point point, IIRC it was Koffice that first
supported ODF.  To make the second point, 17 different organizations /
businesses are *publicly* listed in OASIS' ODF committee. That's not
including individual members or organizations / businesses that have
chosen not to be listed publicly.  Furthermore, over 600 organizations
are represented in OASIS as a whole.  It's not a for-hire rubberstamp
job like Ecma.
