[odf-discuss] Red Hat: graphic campaign to promote ODF

I like it, it's a nice graphic. I can't really tell if they intend this 
to be a logo for ODF or not. Do you know?

A while ago we tried to promote an icon/logo to represent ODF. While 
some people did start using it, and it even went into a KDE conference, 
our success was still limited. If Red Hat is planning to promote their 
image as an ODF logo, I think we should support it. Since we didn't 
manage to popularize an ODF logo, it's a good thing that Red Hat picked 
up the ball and I think we should encourage it.

Having said that, we might want to enquire on the trademark license, 
lest Red Hat end up with more control over ODF than it should.
