[odf-discuss] Writing to standards bodies

I notice in the latest ODFAlliance newsletter

and elsewhere people are urged to write to national standards bodies to ask
them to reject OOXML fast tracking.
When this form of action was last advocated I recall the British BSI was
less than appreciative of this input. Does anybody have any feelings about
the current situation?
