At least the download page does say clearly that this is a "proof 
of concept" thing, not the daVinci plugin itself.

I have not succeeded, because I don't have the required installer 
program on my only convenient Windows machine (with a copy of MS 
Office on it), and I am not interested in going through MS's 
validation process in order to get the installer. (Long tedious 
rant omitted here.)
