I've been passing this analysis around at work and we've all had a good 
laugh! (well, the techies, anyway). It's amazing the amount of cruft 
that a format can acquire over the years... the schizophrenic w:sz 
element, needless variations on colours/hexs/percentages, XML with 
bitmasks, and the remnants of a microsoft namespace in a proposed 
standard. The gall of them!
