I didn't hide the batch file per se I just called the same command as 
the bat file. The main problem was around escaping the quotes correctly 
for a NSIS and windows, which looked like this:

CreateShortCut "$SMPROGRAMS\OpenDocument Viewer\OpenDocument Viewer.lnk" "$INSTDIR\xulrunner\windows\xulrunner.exe" '"$INSTDIR/application.ini"'
