[odf-discuss] Smart package manager

Hello all,
Happy new year!
Does anyone know if 'smart' (the package manager) is available in the
repositories of Mandriva, Fedora Core and SuSE?
This is about the ODF Viewer installer. I'm becoming disillusioned with
Autopackage because several users report that the installer fails. I
think we'll try to use native packages, but I don't want to maintain 5
packages or have 5 download links for Linux (xulrunner rpm, odfviewer
rpm, xulrunner deb, odfviewer deb, and a tgz).
Alex had the idea of making a Debian repository, so we just update
sources.list and run "apt-get install odfviewer".
I'm wondering if I can get away with using the same repository for RPM
systems. I certainly don't want to maintain a Yum and an Urpmi
repository in addition to Debian and then get flack from SuSE users. I
was thinking that I could ship an rpm for smart (it only adds 800KB) and
use smart to install on RPM systems from the Debian repository.
Cheers,
Daniel.
