Not only that, but some measurements used in the US are NOT
"Imperial" even though they have the same names. For example, a
US gallon is not the same size as an Imperial gallon; it has a
different number of fluid ounces in it. This used to cause great
confusion for drivers from the USA when buying petrol in Canada.
