ODF0?

Hopefully something that somehow makes extensions perceived as 
undesirable.  They do seem to be a potential obstacle to portability.

The goal, as I see it, would be to encourage standardization rather than 
divergence of ODF implementations, especially in applications that can 
write data.

The warning I got out of the first message in the thread is that TIFF 
ended up with too many variations to be really useful and care must be 
taken to encourage convergence now at the beginning of ODF.
