Haansoft Supports Open Type Documentation Standard

According to
<http://www.zdnet.co.kr/etc/eyeon/enterprise/0,39036961,39164305,00.htm>
Haansoft (which I believe is a major Korean Office suite developer) is
planning to support ODF and OOXML at the end of 2009.

All nice and well, be it quite far away still, but there are a few
comments in the article I don't understand. Is there someone that can
shed some light?

On the other hand, Haansoft frames a plan to establish a substantial
standard of documentation that is able to express 100% of contents used
in Korea and Asian countries, definitely different from documentations
written in English speaking countries. This plan is based on a
conclusion that the ODF standard of ISO is not enough to express
diagram-based documents which are frequently used in enterprises and
government.

What do they mean with diagram-based documents? What should be added to
ODF to support that? Is someone working on that?

Thanks,
Michael
