One to go vote for or comment on - I actually encountered the issue in
Firefox (which uses the same dictionaries), but have put the bug
upstream. Seems pretty crazy to not have the spelling of your native
document format's abbreviation!

Ensure that all relevant dictionaries contain the acronym "ODF" and preferably
"OpenDocument". Dictionaries for where those forms are not appropriate should
contain the localised equivalent.
Note: while capitalised abbreviations are not spell-checked in OpenOffice, the
proper form should be in the dictionary for offering as a suggestion or even as
an auto-correct if Odf, odf etc. are used.
