Hello there,
I'm currently developing an odt viewer for Windows. I've just released
a first version under the open source GPL license at
http://mkerbiquet.free.fr/woodrat-reader/.
It is in an early development stage, and it supports only basic text
features, but you can already play with it.
The goal of this project is to create a stand-alone, fast and lightweight
application to read/print most ODF text documents.
It runs only on Windows but it has been written with portability in mind,
so it should not be too difficult port to Linux using GTK+. But it is not
planned yet and there's so much to do before then.
Don't expect too much from this project, it has some severe limitations:
the internal XML parser is fast but it doesn't support namespaces, so it
won't be able to load documents using non default prefixes. Fortunately
it works well with document saved with OOo.
Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Marc
