I think all of us probably had ideas but I meant really the more general
public, companies and government. The fact that M$ is having to fight so
hard undermines confidence. Ordinary people are beginning to question
their unassailability which is very bad for a company that relies on the
perception that it is the only choice. The best they can hope for is to
be the second of two ISO standards when previously they were *the*
standard. So its not so much winning as by how much do they lose? Still
we need to keep battling to make sure that the losing margin is as big
as possible.
