You folks may also be interested in a very non-pure but extremely quick  
and effective way that we have integrated ODF support into our system. It  
only works one way, and that is out to ODF, but having well formed XHTML  
we were able to very simply tell the web browser to use a different MIME  
type (ODT, ODC, etc.) and force the browser to pass the XHTML to your  
local ODF application. Extremely simple, highly effective, and then from  
the local application you simple save or save as to get an ODF document.

XHTML rules!
