[odf-discuss] New In-box page, was Fwd: [newsletter] phpMyAdmin now can export to OpenDocument

I have added phpMyAdmin and GRAMPS to a new In-box page located under the
About us navigation panel. In doing so, I managed to mess up two attempts at
giving the In-box its own URL and Drupal in its infinite wisdom somehow
linked two versions to external web pages. Giving up, I created the page
without a custom URL. So now we have three links with the same title under
About us, and I lack the permissions needed to fix the problem. Hopefully
Daniel or Jean will read this and fix the problem.

The working page is the middle In-box link in the left-side navigation menu.
My reason for creating the In-box page is that we are losing too much
information about supporting apps, development tools, ODF adoption by
governments, etc. that is posted to the list. The page is intended as a
place to put information if you don't have time to slow down to identify the
correct place for the information, or don't have time to properly research
information or to format it.

The page is intended as a sort of a web site to-do list with enough
information to get started on a task. Anyone who has the energy for working
on an item is more than welcome to do so as far as I am concerned, but
please add a note to the page that you are working on a task if you do, so
we don't duplicate efforts.

It would be helpful if, when posting information to the list, you so
indicate if you have already posted it to the In-box page or incorporated it
into a different page.

I hope folks will use this new page. We should not be losing much of the
information posted to the list that is slipping by.

The In-box page is set to be invisible unless you are logged in.

Feedback?

Best regards,

Marbux
