[odf-discuss] Debate or summary of MOOX vs ODF ?

I would work this into the <
http://opendocumentfellowship.org/introduction/odf_vs_oxml_part_II> page but
lack the technical knowledge to illustrate the difference in markup, which
should be included for consistency in page layout (under the re-use of
standards heading).

Could someone with the requisite knowledge tackle this one? I agree that Rob
Weir's article would be a valuable link from that page. Or perhaps there is
a more appropriate page?

Longer term changes:

We frequently make the point on the site that ODF recycles existing
standards where appropriate whilst MOOX reinvents the wheel at nearly every
turn. Sometimes we follow such statements with examples; some times not.
However, I have never been able to find a complete list of standards
incorporated in ODF. I think that subject deserves a separate page that
could be linked from other pages where relevant.

Such a page might include a short description of each such standard
including links to relevant external web pages, e.g., to the home page for
the particular standard and to the corresponding Wikipedia article.

If someone can point me to a list of incorporated standards I will work on
creating such a page.

Best regards,

Marbux
