Perhaps it would be helpful to examine how ODF is used in web apps already.
This isn't intended as a use case that points to the distinction between
native and non-native support in the browser, but hopefully it might get
folks thinking in terms of use cases:
Web app use case 1 -- Browsing and editing a document from a template file.
Carly's office has gone massively thin-client. Most office computing
functions are performed using web apps based on the company intranet. Carly
needs to produce a document using an existing OpenDocument template file
Using a document management web app that allows her to view ODF documents,
she browses a category of files that should contain the template she is
looking for until she finds the right one. Then Carly opens the template in
a web-based word processor to finish customizing the document for the
particular task.
