Oh, I see...
Well, that's totally different to the KDE plugins - that's probably
why we didn't understand each other. :o)

No, you're right. He didn't explicitly say that either.
The thing I actually wanted to find out was why the current framework
is "not quite the same as [David Cartwright] was talking about."
I'm still interested if anyone can explain, but I guess it'd have to
go off-list.
