The screenshot indeed shows this technology. Something that Konqueror has had
for a couple of years already.
I'm not sure why Alex is putting the 'just' in there as the effect we are
looking for is shown exactly there. A (read only) rendering of the ODF file.
Any other strategy would involve reinventing the wheel by writing the ODF
parsing and rendering again.
The point we should take home here (and in other instances) is that some
integration the fellowship would really like to see on platforms like Windows
have already been accomplished in KDE. Call it a proof-of-concept, call it
what you want. The reality is that solving these issues the Windows way
(writing the parsing/rendering again for a different application) doesn't
scale very well.
