[odf-discuss] Alex Hudson selected to develop HTML to
ODF conversion toolkit

Great news ... highly relevant for a FOSS project I'm currently steering.
However, in my review of the list of projects I am very surprised that
one fundamental project is missing:
Native rendering of ODF by web browsers.
Native rendering in the sense that the browser 'understands' ODF in the
same way it understands HTML. The ODF isn't converted into HTML, it is
an alternative format processed by the browser.
Clearly there is one particular browser vendor that won't have any
interest in such an approach. However, wouldn't this be something of
relevance for Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc?
