[odf-discuss] Alex Hudson selected to develop HTML to ODF conversion toolkit

The Fellowship's Projects Committee has selected Alex Hudson's 
proposal for an HTML to ODF converstion toolkit. Alex is a 
technologist primarily interested in the web, usability, 
programming and parts of operating systems. He is a member of the 
Open Source Consortium, the Association For Free Software, and 
the OpenDocument Fellowship.

The response to the Fellowship's tender was overwhelming. We 
received *eleven* good proposals, most of which were top-notch. 
The choice between the top two contenders was very difficult. It 
is really a shame that we could choose only one.

We encourage all the unsuccessful tenderers to submit proposals 
for later projects, and in the meantime to join the Fellowship 
and work on some of the unfunded projects.
