It's short for Java/OpenOffice Converter, but of course I'm not allowed
to use Java (nor OpenOffice probably) in the name because it's a trademark.
I appreciate your remark. I doubt that the name can be considered
offensive by itself, but I'm not native English speaker so if I had your
suggestion 3 years ago when I started the project I would have taken it
into account, if not else for "marketing" reasons.
Now it's quite difficult to change it though. I wanted to switch to
JODConverter, for Java/OpenDocument, to stress the fact that it's not
just about OpenOffice any more. But there are *a lot* of places where
it would have to be changed, code moved etc.
