It's not (quite) too late for the fellowship to draft a statement on the 
Novell (mis-)deal.  Doing it last week would have been easier, but this 
week is ok, despite the US holiday.

Any suggestions about what approach to take?  How does the deal help 
adoption OpenDocument or open standards in general? Or, are there any 
specific or general concerns Novell needs to be advised of in regards to 
moving foward with  OpenDocument or open standards in the new situation?
