We have spoken with people at NARA a few times, though not with Ken Thibodeau, and they are aware of our work. Their decision was to give Lockheed Martin US$308 million to go and (re)invent that particular wheel. Not that we can tell just what it is they're developing with all that money, but conference presentations available on the internet seem to suggest that the NARA approach closely mirrors ours.
Heck, I would have sold them a copy of Xena for only $208 million. Or they could get it free from sourceforge like everyone else. :-)
