Thats a bit blunt;

most people that use a word processor do layout based on visual cues. Doing 
indenting by typing multiple spaces is a simple example. Pressing enters 
instead of inserting a page-break is another.

What more experience people know is that learning to use features like tabs, 
and styles makes a piece of text much easier to maintain.

The complaint we saw posted in this thread is none other then someone having 
learned the wrong trick to accomplish his goal and is now complaining that 
the software must not be good enough when it breaks.
Naturally the software will never be good enough to do what he wants in the 
way that he wants to do it.  The only solution for him is to learn to use 
layouting techniques.
But he has to find that out for himself.
