the whole point of going for ODF is exactly that it's time to *start*
refusing proprietary formats, or formats that for any reason can be
practically used only with one software program.
At least in this ("productivity") and a lot of other sectors the fact
of having more than one format for the same thing looks really stupid
to me. Like having one different alphabet for each brand of pen. The
only reason this still happens is because ICT is still so new and
obscure to people that they haven't grasped how terribly silly it is.
