I like both of these variations too.

In general, the buttons I like best are ones that look a bit 
raised above the surface. Button5 looks that way on the bottom 
and right-hand side, and I like that effect. However, the 
lettering on button5 looks a bit fuzzy around the edges to me. Is 
that an artifact of the "bump map", whatever that is? (I'm not 
familiar with the term.)

Are you planning to do the animated GIF (for the banner) soon, or 
wait until more people say they like the design? So far we have 
at least 6 "yea" and no "nay"... sounds like a consensus building 
up. :-)  I'm just curious; I'm not trying to make work for you 
over Christmas, and I know you're off on holidays on the 26th.
