Hello,

Proposal for the ODF Viewer banner. This will show you the sort of thing
I'm thinking of:

-> Base design. Use an enlarged logo as the basis for a background.

-> Use two copies with different shades to make a more interesting
effect.

-> Move bg to the right to not intersect the logo.

-> Making the first bg lighter so the text is easier to read.

-> Fiddle with sizes and positions of objects so that the bg doesn't
intercept either the word "viewer" or the logo.
