[odf-discuss] Problem with Google Code

Hello,

I just discovered an issue with Google Code: There is a 100MB disk quota
and files are never deleted.

Considering that we can expect to use up 35MB on every release, this
disk quota is totally unworkable. I wrote to the appropriate address to
explain the situation, as indicated in the FAQ, but I don't see that we
can expect them to give us 10-times what they give everyone else, or to
change the system so that we can delete files.

Consequences:
* We can keep Google Code but not use it for downloads.
* We can look elsewhere.

I took a look at Launchapd (to Alex's great dismay), and it doesn't let
you do downloads. I guess we are not likely to find a place that has
both free downloads we can use and a simple issue tracker. So I guess
we'll have to go back to hosting the downloads ourselves at least for
now. Oh well...

Alex, as a sidenote, take a look at https://launchpad.net/faq to see why
you have two accounts and how you can merge them.
