[odf-discuss] Fonts and Interoperability

I notice that the new version of OS  from MS has a new font collection:

Furthermore, there is an initiative to try and make this a de facto standard
in the proprietary world:

Whilst not a huge problem this is just another little niggle when exchanging
documents, in whatever format, between the open and proprietary worlds.

Is it outside our terms of reference to put together a core set of open
fonts (and perhaps distibute them with the viewer)?
