Hello,
I moved the ODF viewer website to:
http://opendocumentfellowship.org/odfviewer
The old URL will continue to work (I made an alias) but we should
promote this URL because it is so much easier to remember and type.
Secondly, I changed the website to be very end-user oriented. Now that
the viewer is moving towards a general audience. So I tried to make it
simple, usable, attractive, etc. For end users.
Btw: Thanks Pete for the logos. I picked a different one for Mac.
Incidentally, I made another update to the Linux installer. A minor one.
Now it installs an icon on your desktop. It attempts to install itself
to the menu too, but for some reason that's not working for me. I don't
know if it's a problem with my setup or the installer. Maybe someone can
test this?
I generally don't like applications adding icons, but I figure that:
1. Clearly I can't count on the menu entry being added.
2. The user might not have any other way to know where to find the
viewer. Sure, the installer tells him what the path is, but no one pays
attention to that.
3. It's easy to delete. No harm done.
Comments, suggestions and praise all welcome :)
Cheers,
Daniel.
